Different Techniques Of Printing In Springvale

Commercial printing in Springvale is generally printing brochures and leaflets that are mainly used for businesses. Different commercial printing techniques are used for diverse purposes.

Different printing techniques used across printing services include:

  • Offset lithography: A printing plate made up off aluminium that contains the image of the content to be printed is inked in the initial step. Only the image on the plate holds ink, the rest of the plate becomes dry. The inked image is transferred from the plate to a rubber blanket and then to the desired surface. Printing on flat surfaces like paper, cardboard, plastic or other materials is possible by this method. The most common example of this printing is business card printing.

  • Flexography:  In flexography the content that needs to be printed is made on a relief of a printing plate which is made up of rubber. The printing plate is inked and the inked image is transferred to the printing surface. This printing technique is used to print on paper as well as plastics, metals, cell-phones, and other materials.

  • Digital printing: The image that needs to be printed is created by small droplets of ink that are sent out by nozzles of one or more print heads. Inkjet devices can print on a wide range of substance like plastic, paper, canvas and even doors and floor tiles. This economical printing method is best for making of signage and posters.

  • Gravure printing: The required image is engraved on to the printing cylinder which is inked and then used to transfer the image on to the printing surface. This technique is used to print newspapers and magazines.

  • Screen printing: A woven piece of fabric known as screen is used. The screen is coated with non-permeable material and the remaining open space allows ink to pass through on to the substrate. The printing surface need not be flat and the ink used can adhere to a wide range of materials such as paper, textile, glass, ceramic, wood and metal.
Depending up on the requirement, you can choose the printing technique that suits your budget.
